If you're attending a concert, a wine-tasting event, or a bachelor or bachelorette party, renting a party bus is a good way to ensure everyone gets there safely and in a fun manner. But a party bus is more than just a means of transportation! With the tips below, you can get even more out of the experience.
1. Bring a Playlist
Most party buses come equipped with some sort of entertainment system. You can generally plug your phone or MP3 player in and play your own music. So, take the time to put together a fun playlist prior to your trip in the limo bus. Include songs that you know will get your friends excited. You could even reach out to everyone who will be attending, and ask them to send you three songs they would like to listen to during the drive. You can party along to your music all the way to your destination, and be fully pumped up by the time you arrive!
2. Bring Drinks
Most limo rental companies will allow you to bring your own alcoholic beverages on board. If you and your friends drink, then pack some beverages to make the drive more enjoyable. Choose something fun that fits the theme of your event. For example, if you are on your way to a sports game, you could make Jell-O shots in the colors of your favorite team. Do contact your limo company beforehand just to ensure they do allow such beverages -- some states do not allow this.
3. Decorate the Bus
Consider having the bus arrive at your place about 20 minutes before you plan on leaving for your destination. This way, you can take a few minutes and decorate the bus before you leave! Put up some streamers along the windows and blow up a few balloons that you can let float around in the space. Window clings are another good choice. They come in varieties for a wide way of occasions and holidays, and you can buy them very cheaply at the dollar store.
Decorations will help get everyone into an excited mood and will also make the bus feel more customized.
4. Consider Your Route
Usually, the limo driver will take the most direct route from point A to point B. However, you should think about having them take an alternate route to add a little more pizzazz to the experience. You could drive through a fun, artsy part of the city and admire some of the unique buildings, or you could drive through a state park and admire the natural landscape as you go. It may take you a few minutes longer to get to your destination, but the extra time will be worth it -- and add to the experience!
5. Be Friendly to Your Driver
The drivers of party buses are usually fun people, and they're there to help you have a good time! They can recommend additional places you may want to stop along the way, help you coordinate your music, and help round up members of your party after you've stopped somewhere. If you are friendly and kind to them from the beginning of the ride onward, they will be more willing and able to help. Just make sure you also leave them a fair tip at the end of the ride. (Tipping $5 per person or about 20 percent of the bill is considered fair.)
